File:Freezing.pngFreezing is a status effect in PSO. Freezing can be applied by:

Frozen Shooter and Snow Queen will also randomly inflict freezing on the player if equipped for too long.

Mechanics

Freezing, confusion, shock, and slow cannot affect the same player or enemy at the same time; if a player or enemy is inflicted with any of these statuses, they will lose any others they have.

Players

Freezing lasts for 5 seconds, but can be dispelled earlier by Anti level 7 or by repeatedly moving left and right to break out early. Freezing prevents players from moving, attacking, casting techniques, or using items. Players with a Cure/Freeze equipped are immune to freezing.

Enemies

Freezing lasts for 5 seconds and cannot have its timer reset by reapplying it midway through the duration. Freezing prevents enemies from moving or attacking. Epsilon, Zu, Pazuzu, Dorphon, Dorphon Eclair, Girtablulu, and all bosses are immune to freezing.

Special attacks

Freezing can be applied using the special attack from a Blizzard-series weapon. Provided the attack connects, each special has a different chance of success:

Rarity Special name Activation rate
1★ Ice 32%
2★ Frost 48%
3★ Freeze 64%
4★ Blizzard 80%

Frozen Shooter and Snow Queen have special mechanics with applying freezing; if the projectile from their special attack connects, it has a 100% chance to freeze any non-immune enemy.
