RAcast is an android Ranger with the highest ATP of all the ranger types, although the lowest ATA of all the rangers. With the ranger arsenal and high ATP, he is an extremely powerful damage dealer, easily able to wipe entire rooms with little effort providing that he is being provided with Shifta from another player. Due to his access to traps as well, he has almost unparalleled crowd control alongside his android boost to paralysis specials.

Solo-wise, RAcast can be a little weak as unlike Hunters, there is no supply of Shifta other than Mylla&Youlla, meaning that RAcast can struggle to kill things quickly in the initial section of quests. However, his access to traps means that even if he is a little slow in some areas, he is able to play very safely.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Extremely powerful in multiplayer - With the ranger arsenal, high ATP, and a source of Shifta, RAcast does extremely high damage over a wide area with little effort.
  • Ranger arsenal - With options such as Frozen Shooter, ES Needle, Heaven Striker, and sacrificial Arms, rangers have options for every situation.
  • Access to traps - The most powerful crowd control tool in the game

Cons

  • Weak solo - While RAcast can be powerful in areas which primarily rely on instant death specials, RAcast's complete lack of Shifta can make him much slower than other options when playing alone

Section ID choice

Note that the section ID choices below are merely suggestions, and are not required to have on your RAcast. All IDs are good in different ways, and it is up to the player which ID they would like depending on what items they'd like to hunt. If you are unsure as to what ID you would want, the below are recommended depending on what sort of ID you would prefer.

Finding items for RAcast

Greenill icon.png Greenill or Purplenum icon.png Purplenum

Greenill and Purplenum have access to many core Ranger items, offering mostly the same items between them. They both get Heaven Striker, Frozen Shooter, V502, with Greenill icon.png Greenill finding V101, Red Ring and Cannon Rouge, with Purplenum icon.png Purplenum finding M&A60 Vise and increased chance of finding mechguns, important for sacrificial Vulcans.

Finding items that RAcast hunts well

Bluefull icon.png Bluefull

Rangers are incredibly good everywhere, but especially in Episode 2, where Bluefull has a very powerful Seabed, which includes Yunchang, Zanba, Psycho Wand, and Parasitic Gene "Flow". On top of this, Bluefull can hunt Limiter very well from Astarks, which is an easy hunt for Rangers as well. Heaven Striker also makes an appearance in Episode 1 from Del-Ds.

Skyly icon.png Skyly

Similarly to Bluefull, Skyly has many good items and hunts in Episode 2, where Ranger shines in comparison to other classes. While Skyly is usually thought of as a Hunter ID, Rangers will have an easier time hunting many of the core Skyly items, which include Heaven Punisher, Sealed J-Sword, Monkey King Bar, Vivienne, Daylight Scar, and Guren. On top of this, Lame d'Argent can be found from Dorphons, which is a very useful item for all classes, but especially Rangers.

General good ID

Whitill icon.png Whitill

Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. Whitill is the most unrestrictive ID, giving players the freedom to play any content and still have the chance of scoring something big, in contrast to more restrictive IDs such as Bluefull, which focus players into certain areas. Whitill finds many good items such as V502, Heaven Striker, Diska of Braveman, Frozen Shooter, Slicer of Fanatic, and more!
