A basic rod

Rods are a technique weapon type. They can generally only be equipped by forces, and most provide a defensive boost when equipped. As a melee weapon, rods are very slow and do hardly any damage, so are equipped entirely for their other statistic or tech boosts.

Availability

In Normal difficulty, rod-type weapons will not drop in Forest 1, Forest 2, VR Temple Alpha, or VR Temple Beta. Otherwise, any common weapon drop has a chance to be a sword-type weapon based on the party's section ID:
