Coal is an Ephinea Christmas Event-exclusive currency obtainable from clearing 
Christmas Fiasco quests, and is also obtainable as an item from Presents (Christmas).
Using Coal, you'll be able to trade for items in the Christmas Event Shop, located in Episode 1's Shop category.

In the Christmas Event Shop, the RAcast near the bank will offer the following exchanges:
- 8 Coal for a Normal/Hard/Very Hard difficulty Present (Christmas)
- 40 Coal for an Ultimate difficulty Present (Christmas).

Aside from possibly obtaining them in Presents (Christmas), the Coal rates from Fiasco clears during Christmas Events are as follows:

Note: Episode 4's Christmas Fiasco normally gives 4 coal for an Ultimate clear, and unintentionally rewards 6 coal during the Christmas 2021 Event.

Coal does not exist in normal gameplay, as it and its feature as a Christmas-exclusive currency are unique to Ephinea, added in an update on Dec 8, 2017.
