Editing Anniversary event

The Ephinea [[Anniversary event]] is a major annual [[event]] that occurs during or around the month of '''August''' and lasts '''four weeks'''. 

The anniversary event features the Maximum Attack E series of [[quests]] (event-exclusive shorter-form versions of the [[Maximum Attack E]] quests), an event-exclusive currency called Anniversary Badges, and the Anniversary milestone system, which rewards the community various rate boosts depending on the playerbase's performance.

During the Anniversary event, all monster kills that occur in Ultimate difficulty, regardless of whether or not a quest is chosen, are tallied up and added to a cumulative kill counter that unlock boosts as the number of total kills for the server increases. These milestone rewards apply server-wide, and are not restricted to event-exclusive quests.

Milestone rewards include standard boosts, such as those to experience, rare enemy, or [[Item drops#Drop rate boosts|drop]] rates, as well increased {{Meseta}} drops, or specific increases to the drop rates of {{Tool|rare|Photon Drop|Photon Drops}} or the Anniversary Badges (see below). 

Milestone reward progression can be viewed on a subpage of the official [https://ephinea.pioneer2.net/ Ephinea] website that becomes available at the start of each Anniversary event. Players can see their own individual kill counters by entering the {{Quest link|Anniversary Badge Shop}} and speaking to the Guide NPC located in the [[Hunter's Guild]].<!--not sure that checking your kill totals with the guide is still correct-->

During the Anniversary event, four types of rare "Anniversary badge" items will drop from ''all'' enemies (with the exception of scared [[Enemies#Rag Rappy|Rappies]]). The exact drop rates of each badge type have not been released to the community. The availability of each badge type is determined by difficulty (the higher the difficulty, the more common the badge drops):

Anniversary badge drops are not affected by any [[Item drops#Drop rate boosts|drop rate boosts]], except for those specifically granted by the Anniversary event. Anniversary badges will not drop from [[Item box|item boxes]].

==Associated quests==
The main quests featured in the Anniversary event are the Maximum Attack E series. These quests are designed to last five-to-ten minutes per run, cannot be failed, and award Anniversary badges on clear, with the number and type of badges rewarded depending on difficulty.
