Shortcut Menu

The Shortcut Menu can be used to access weapons, items and techniques. It is only accessible in combat areas of the game.

Uses

The Shortcut Menu makes it possible to switch between equipped weapons, and to use items and techniques which are not mapped to the Action Palette or the Action Shortcuts. It is also one of the menus which can be quickly accessed to avoid targetting enemies when the player needs to move without slowing down, such as through a hallway of traps.

Controls

The Shortcut Menu is accessed by pressing the key or button for the Top Action Palette while pressing and holding the key or button to switch to the alternate Action Palette. Pressing the key or button associated with advancing to the next page of a menu will work to switch the menu from weapons to items to techniques, looping back to weapons if pressed again. Pressing the key or button for the Left Action Palette or (by default) the Tab key while the Shortcut Menu is on weapons will bring up the stats for the selected weapon. Pressing Action Palette Left/Tab key while the Shortcut Menu is on items or techniques will select the currently highlighted item or technique; move the selection and press Tab again to change the position of the item or technique on the Shortcut Menu.
