Line 1: Line 1:
Halloween quests are a series of single-area, single-room quests with extremely high enemy density for each area in every episode. For each episode, they are located in the Halloween category (Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 4).
All quests in the hollow series require a Halloween Cookie to begin the quest.

While playing each quest, a black-and-white filter visual effect is applied to the screen (with the exceptions of Control Tower and Subterranean Desert), to represent "color draining from the world."
Note that all Halloween Cookie quests have fixed rates of +200% Experience, +50% Drop Anything Rate, +50% Rare Drop Rate & +100% Rare Enemy Rate; so they do not stack with any other boosts..

: Main article: rare
While Halloween quests may be accessed year-round, each Halloween quest requires one member of the party to give one rare to an NPC near the teleporter, in exchange for its activation, for the quest to be played. Halloween Cookies are event-exclusive items, dropping only during the Ephinea Halloween event.

Only one Cookie must be given to the NPC, and it can be given to the NPC by any member of the party; it does not have to be the party leader, and not every player in the party needs to contribute a Cookie.
Episode 1
Once the teleporter has been activated through the exchange of a Cookie, players will be teleported to a single room in the area of the quest chosen to fight through multiple waves of enemies.
* Hollow Battlefield: Forest - Forest 1
* Hollow Battlefield: Cave - Cave 2
* Hollow Battlefield: Mine - Mine 2
* Hollow Battlefield: Ruins - Ruins 3

Bonuses
Episode 2
During these quests, the following bonus rates apply:
* +200% experience
* +50% drop anything rate
* +50% rare drop rate
* +100% rare enemy rate
These boosts are not affected by Ephineas four rotating weekly boosts, and can only be further increased by playing the quests on Anguish difficulty.

Trivia
* The black-and-white filter is absent from Control Tower and Subterranean Desert due to a combination of both accessibility and technical issues.
