Consumables
This page includes all tool items with the exceptions of technique disks and mag cells, which can be found on their own pages.
Consumable tools are items that can be used from the inventory, primarily (but not exclusively) to restore HP, TP, or cure status effects. All of these tools are available for purchase at all time from the Tool Shop on Pioneer 2.

Combination tools
Combination items are rare tools that are used to create other items. Combination items are used from the inventory, but only when an applicable item is equipped, and when any other required conditions (e.g. level, weapon grind, character class, etc.) are also satisfied.
If two compatible combination items are equipped at the same time (e.g. rare and rare when trying to use rare), no combinations may be performed until only one combination is possible.

Music disks
Music disks
: Main article: Music disks
Music disks are single-use consumable tools which change the background music of the current area for both the user and any other players in the same area. The effects last until the player changes area by any means (e.g. teleporter or Telepipe), at which point the original game music is restored.

Disks 1-7 have appeared in multiple iterations of Phantasy Star Online. Disks 8-12 were created by fans and submitted to a Japanese Blue Burst event to commemorate the servers first anniversary, PSO BB一周年記念感謝祭イベント. Disks 13-21 are unique to Ephinea and are from various other video games.

Team points
* Disk Vol.1 "Wedding March"
: Main article: Teams
* Disk Vol.2 "Day Light"
Team point tools are items which can be purchased from the Information Counter in the Visual Lobby under the "Team" option. Team point tools cost the corresponding amount of team points to purchase, and the tool is placed directly into the character's inventory. They can then be used via the "Point Register" function to convert into the appropriate amount of team points, or traded to other players for them to do the same.
