Yowies and Satellite Lizards move in the same way, slowly moving towards the player regardless of how far they are, having infinite targetting range.
Yowies and Satellite Lizards slowly move towards the player as long as they are in the same room, regardless of distance from the player. Once in range, they will initiate a slow, short range attack that deals fixed damage (scaling with difficulty) and continue to do so until the player moves out of their attack range. The main difference between Yowies and Satellite Lizards is that a Yowie has higher stats and will do more damage to the player.

Their core mechanic is their frontal shield which deflects all ranged projectiles, including sources such as slicers and Dark Flow's energy waves. Techniques, while ranged projectiles of a sort, are not affected by this.
Yowies and Satellite Lizards share a shielding mechanic which blocks projectiles from the front. If the shield is triggered, the Yowie will turn invisible and untargetable until it is near the targeted player. Techniques bypass this mechanic almost entirely, but an untargetable Yowie still can't be targeted by a technique.

Their attack is slow and does set damage, meaning it cannot be reduced by increased DFP or resistances.

Mechanics

Yowies and Satellite Lizards slowly move towards the player as long as they are in the same room, regardless of distance from the player. Once in range, they will initiate a slow, short range attack that deals fixed damage (scaling with difficulty) and continue to do so until the player moves out of their attack range. The main difference between Yowies and Satellite Lizards is that a Yowie has higher stats and will do more damage to the player.
