'''Divine Punishment''' is a unique [[Weapons#Special_attacks|special attack]] that is granted to the rare weapons {{Gun|rare|Heaven Punisher}} and {{Gun|rare|Mille Marteaux}}, as well as {{Gun|rare|Heaven Striker}} while a {{Mag|rare|Striker Unit}} is equipped, when the hundreds digit of the [[Beat time|beat time]] is even. It summons beams of light from the sky to attack enemies.
==Usage==
Divine Punishment can be used by all [[Classes#Rangers|Rangers]], with [[RAmarl]] considered the best user as she has the highest [[MST]], and a faster [[Handguns|handgun]] animation for Heaven Punisher and Heaven Striker.

Divine Punishment can target a maximum of 10 enemies and has a range of 150 units, giving it a range between that of a [[Shots|shot]] and a handgun.

Damage dealt by Divine Punishment is light-based damage like [[Grants]], but its technique base power is fixed at 2000. Examples of maximum damage per Divine Punishment beam can be calculated following the [[Game_mechanics#Technique_damage|technique damage formula]]:
* [[RAcast]] and [[RAcaseal]] can do a maximum of 400 damage to a target with 0 ELT.
* A [[RAmar]] with max MST can do a maximum of 533 damage to a target with 0 ELT.
* A [[RAmarl]] with max MST can do a maximum of 606 damage to a target with 0 ELT.
This means that every 5 points of MST is an extra point of damage, before ELT.

==Notes==
* Divine Punishment attacks are used by both [[Dark Falz]] and [[Olga Flow]], but their damage cannot be resisted with ELT.
* When Mille Marteaux is granted Divine Punishment for its special attack, it calls down only ''one'' beam of light per combo attack, despite [[Mechguns|mechguns]] normally striking an enemy three times per combo attack. Because it still retains its mechgun animations [[Game mechanics/Frame data|frame data]], it is considered the least effective weapon for using the special.
