Poison is a status effect in PSO. It can be inflicted by:
- Poison traps
- Mothvert's attack
- Poison / Nar Lily's ranged attack
- Barba Ray's underwater tentacle attack
- Astark's poison attack
- Certain growths in the rooms and hallways of Ruins and Subterranean Desert
Mechanics[edit | edit source]
Players[edit | edit source]
Poison and Paralysis will overwrite each other if inflicted on a player.
Poison will gradually drain a player's HP until it reaches 1 or until cured. The damage dealt by the effect scales with difficulty.
Poison does not wear off on its own. It will remain on a player even if they return to Pioneer 2; however, it will not damage players who are on Pioneer 2. It can be cured with Anti, an Antidote, or a Sol Atomizer. An equipped Cure/Poison will prevent players from becoming poisoned, but will not cure previously inflicted poison when equipped.
Monsters[edit | edit source]
Players have no means by which to directly apply poison to monsters. A monster can become poisoned if it happens to be within the radius of a poison trap when it detonates; however, this is a rare occurrence. Poison will function the same on the monster, gradually siphoning its health until it dies.
