Confuse is a status effect in PSO. It can be inflicted by:
- Confuse traps
- Chaos-series weapon special attacks
- Dark Belra's ranged attack
- Chaos Bringer's charge attack
- Gi Gue's ranged beam attack
- Delbiter's roar
- Dark Bridge's random status effect infliction
Mechanics[edit | edit source]
Freeze, Confuse, Shock, and Slow cannot affect the same player or monster at the same time; if a player or monster is inflicted with any of these statuses, they will lose any others they have.
Players[edit | edit source]
Players inflicted with confuse will move and attack in random directions at short intervals. Confuse can be cured with a Sol Atomizer or with level 4 Anti. Players with a Cure/Confuse equipped are immune to confuse.
Monsters[edit | edit source]
Confuse will cause monsters to attack the nearest target to them. This can include players as well as other monsters. Confuse is very effective against large groups of monsters as they will turn on each other. This effectively deals free bonus damage while also giving players breathing room, since fewer monsters will be attacking them.
Bosses are immune to confusion.
Special attacks[edit | edit source]
Players and monsters can be frozen using the special attack from a Chaos-series weapon. Provided the attack connects, each special has a different chance of success.
Androids receive a 30% boost to the activation rate of all confusion specials on Ultimate difficulty. This value can be added directly to values in the Power column below. V501 and V502 give an additional 50% boost to the activation rate of confusion specials; these stack with the android boost, but not with each other.
Confuse Chance = ((Power) - (Enemy ESP)) * (Special Reduction) * (Unit Boost)
