Anguish is a Diablo III-inspired game mode unique to Ephinea that allows players to challenge themselves with increased monster difficulty. There are three Anguish levels, and any of them can be accessed by any character at Level 80 or above, just like Ultimate mode. Anguish is exclusive to Ultimate mode, and can be activated in the game creation menu at the lobby counter.

Details

Each Anguish level has a base percentage boost rate, ranging from 40% at level 1 to 150% at level 3. Most monster parameters are increased by the base rate shown in-game, but others are higher or lower depending on the stat:

  • HP: +30%
  • XP: +50%
  • ATP: +40%
  • DFP: No boost
  • MST: +40%
  • ATA: +10%
  • EVP: +4%
  • LCK: +8%
  • EDK: +12%
  • ESP: +16%
  • Damage: +40%
  • Fixed damage: +16%

In addition, many drop chances have small boosts in Anguish mode:
  • Drop Anything Rate (DAR): +1%
  • Rare Drop Rate (RDR): +5%
  • Meseta quantity dropped: +31%
  • ID-specific common weapon rate: +0.86%
  • Untekked common weapon rate: +1%
  • Photon Drop rate: +0.15%
