Halloween quests
Halloween quests are a series of single-area, single-room quests with extremely high monster density for each area in every episode. For each episode, they are located in the "Halloween" quest category (Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 4).
While playing each quest, a black-and-white filter visual effect is applied to the screen (with the exceptions of Seabed, Control Tower, and Subterranean Desert), to represent "color draining from the world."
Halloween Cookies

Halloween Cookie
While Halloween quests may be accessed year-round, each Halloween quest requires one member of the party to give one Halloween Cookie to an NPC near the teleporter, in exchange for its activation, for the quest to be played. Halloween Cookies are event-exclusive items, dropping only during the Ephinea Halloween event.
Only one Cookie must be given to the NPC, and it can be given to the NPC by any member of the party; it does not have to be the party leader, and not every player in the party needs to contribute a Cookie.
Once the teleporter has been activated through the exchange of a Cookie, players will be teleported to a single room in the area of the quest chosen to fight through multiple waves of enemies.
Bonuses
During these quests, the following bonus rates apply:
Rate | Increase |
---|---|
Drop anything | +50% |
Experience | +200% |
Rare drop | +50% |
Rare monster | +100% |
![]() (During Halloween event only) |
+20% |
These boosts are not affected by Ephinea's four rotating weekly boosts, and can only be further increased by playing the quests on Anguish difficulty (with the exception of the Halloween Cookie drop rate, which cannot be increased).

Trivia
- The black-and-white filter is absent from the aforementioned areas due to a combination of both accessibility and technical issues.
