{{Gun|rare|Spread Needle}} is a rare [[Rifles|rifle]]. It is especially notable for both its unique ability to fire five shots at once (similar to a [[Shots|shot]]) with rifle speed, as well as having an unreduced [[Weapons#Paralysis|seize]] special. To compensate for this, it has less range than even [[Mechguns|mechguns]].

==Reskins==
Spread Needle has Ephinea-exclusive [[Weapon hearts|cosmetic skins]] that can be obtained. This renames the Spread Needle to Spread Needle*. The skin can be removed via using {{Tool|rare|Neutralizer}}, but you will not receive the used weapon skin back.

[[Girtablulu]] can always be hit by {{S3}} from either class with a 0 Hit Spread Needle. [[RAmar]] makes better use of {{Gun|es|ES Needle}}, guaranteeing an {{S3}} on any of these enemies, and [[RAmarl]] has a similarly guaranteed {{S3}} with {{Gun|es|ES Needle}} on Dorphon and Girtablulu, but not on Dorphon Eclair.

===Detonating traps===
If timed properly, Android Rangers can self-detonate their traps using {{Gun|rare|Spread Needle}}, which cannot be done with {{Gun|es|ES Needle}}.
