Availability

In Normal difficulty, wand-type weapons will not drop:

• for any section ID before Mine 1 in Episode 1,
• for any section ID other than Pinkal before Jungle Area North in Episode 2,
• for Pinkal before VR Spaceship Alpha in Episode 2,
• for any section ID other than Pinkal before Crater (Southern Route) in Episode 4; Pinkal finds wand-type weapons in every area in Episode 4.

Otherwise, any common weapon drop has a chance to be a wand-type weapon based on the party's section ID:
