Like other CCA Minibosses, Gibbles do not take increased damage from weapons with Native attributes.
Behavior/Mechanics
Gibbles is a miniboss enemy, and does not take increased damage from weapon attributes. Other enemies that share this trait are Mericarol, Merikle, Mericus, Gi Gue, Olga Flow (Form 2) and Girtablulu.

Targeting
Gibbles share a unique targeting mechanic with Delsabers. Both monsters have a parameter configurable in their initialization data that determines which of their player targeting prioritizations to use when they are searching for a target (target searching does not occur while attacking or within melee range of a player). The prioritization follows these values:
{| class="wikitable" style="text-align: center"

Target searching considers players within 250 units. The radius for activating a Gibbles spawn is smaller than this target search radius, which can cause them to sometimes have a significantly delayed spawn until their target is within range.
Qedit has a default of 0 for this parameter in the Gibbles initialization data. This means most Gibbles in practice will prioritize male characters when searching for a target.

The ground pound attacks can also do physical damage. In the early stages of each attack animation, the attack will be physical if the game's frame counter is a multiple of 5. For high HP characters in Ultimate, this can lead to a quick death if the attack does not knock down the player. The reason is that the attack will start the player's flinching animation, but Gibbles will hit for the fixed damage on the following frames. However, those hits will not cause knockdown because the player is currently in the flinching animation.

Gibbles share a unique targeting mechanism with Delsabers. Both monsters have a parameter configurable in their initialization data that determines which of their player targeting prioritizations to use when they are searching for a target (target searching does not occur while attacking or within melee range of a player). If this parameter is 0, then Gibbles will target any male character within a 250 unit radius. If this parameter is nonzero, then Gibbles will target any FO character within a 250 unit radius. The radius for activating a Gibbles spawn is less than this value, which can cause them to sometimes have a significantly delayed spawn until their target is within range.

Gibbles targeting
Value Player Type
0 Male
1 Female
2 Human
3 Newman
4 Android
5 Hunter
6 Ranger
7 Force

Target searching considers players within 250 units. The radius for activating a Gibbles spawn is smaller than this target search radius, which can cause them to sometimes have a significantly delayed spawn until their target is within range.

Qedit has a default of 0 for this parameter in the Gibbles initialization data. This means most Gibbles in practice will prioritize male characters when searching for a target.

Fixed Damage

Attack Damage
Pound 60
Jump 80
Wind-up punch ???

The ground pound attacks can also do physical damage. In the early stages of each attack animation, the attack will be physical if the game's frame counter is a multiple of 5. For high HP characters in Ultimate, this can lead to a quick death if the attack does not knock down the player. The reason is that the attack will start the player's flinching animation, but Gibbles will hit for the fixed damage on the following frames. However, those hits will not cause knockdown because the player is currently in the flinching animation.
