This article is for updating the Ephinea daily forecast and recording previous forecasts.
For how the daily forecast works, see Daily forecast.

The Daily forecast log is meant for indirectly updating Template:DailyForecast and keeping track of forecast history.

Currently only updating the Today section is needed daily as the infobox for it is shown on the Main Page.
The Log and Archival sections can be updated as interest enables, and is optional.

READ THIS SECTION BEFORE EDITING!!!

If the daily update is late, but you don't know how or don't want to do this yourself, go bother Ryan or Matt on Discord.

Ideally every day after midnight UTC, update this table with that day's new forecast in the source editor, using the substitution template within the comment block for the date cell and uncommenting or recommenting the profession/race/gender cells as necessary.

The data row will be transcluded into the Template:DailyForecast infobox on the Main Page automatically for indirect updating.

Log

Missing data (including from 2021 and earlier, as well as lapses in dates afterwards) would be appreciated, inserted preferably as new rows in descending order.

Daily Forecast information for the current month should be logged daily, and should be archived on a monthly basis to reduce page scrolling.
Ideally every day after midnight UTC, create a new row by inserting this text between the header and top row of data, writing in or omitting the fields as necessary:

To archive a month:

  • Copy the following prepared table skeleton:

  • Paste it directly below the comment that mentions the prepared table skeleton within the archive
  • Change (Month) within the table skeleton to the relevant month you're archiving
  • Copy the entire completed month within the log, then paste it into your favorite text editor and replace all instances of | with {{!}}
  • Copy the resulting table within your used text editor and paste it into the empty space within the table skeleton you're using in the archive
  • ???
  • Profit!
