During the Anniversary event, all monster kills that occur in Ultimate difficulty, regardless of whether or not a quest is chosen, are tallied up and added to a cumulative kill counter that unlock boosts as the number of total kills for the server increases. These milestone rewards apply server-wide, and are not restricted to event-exclusive quests.


During the course of this event, four different types of badges can drop.
Milestone rewards include standard boosts, such as those to experience, rare enemy, or [[Item drops#Drop rate boosts|drop]] rates, as well increased {{Meseta}} drops, or specific increases to the drop rates of {{Tool|rare|Photon Drop|Photon Drops}} or the Anniversary Badges (see below).  
* Bronze (All Difficulties)
* Silver (Very Hard and Ultimate)
* Gold (Ultimate Only)
* Platinum (Ultimate Only, extremely rare)
The higher the difficulty, the more common the badge drops. These badges can drop anywhere; they are not exclusive to the event quest series.


All badge drops are also independent of any drop rate modifications, and cannot be obtained from item boxes or rappies that are scared instead of killed.

==Maximum Attack E==
Anniversary badge drops are not affected by any [[Item drops#Drop rate boosts|drop rate boosts]], except for those specifically granted by the Anniversary event. Anniversary badges will not drop from [[Item box|item boxes]].


Maximum Attack E are this event's designated quest series. They are featured in the [[Hunter's Boost Road]] and are also the only way to increase the cumulative kill counter.

The Ephinea Anniversary event is a major annual event that occurs during or around the month of August and lasts four weeks.

The anniversary event features the Maximum Attack E series of quests (event-exclusive shorter-form versions of the Maximum Attack E quests), an event-exclusive currency called Anniversary Badges, and the Anniversary milestone system, which rewards the community various rate boosts depending on the playerbase's performance.
