Spirit is a sacrificial damage increase weapon special. It is the second highest tier of sacrificial damage increase specials (3★), though it's not any more or less powerful damage-wise than its higher or lower special tier counterparts. Spirit weapons have massively strengthened attacks at the cost of TP.
Damage
While a Heavy attack has a damage multiplier of 1.89x in the damage formula, Spirit attacks have a multiplier of 3.33x.
Rarity | Special Name | Sacrifice |
---|---|---|
3★ | Spirit | 1/5 TP |
- Spirit will not function if the user has less than 10 TP
- Spirit will freely drain a player's TP below 10, which is a major restriction of its use
- There is no special activation calculation for the Spirit special--the special will activate if the player passes the accuracy check.
List of Spirit weapons
There are three weapon types that can have specials. Specials on common weapons dropping from Monsters or Item boxes are randomly assigned, but are predetermined on all rare weapons. Specials on ES Weapons can be added with Photon drops.
Common weapons
The chance of obtaining specials on common weapons depends on area and difficulty. When a common weapon drops in an untekked state, there is a chance for it to come with Spirit as a special. Unlike most other specials, Spirit can not be obtained by tekking up or down a common weapon that drops with the Charge or Berserk special. Once a weapon drops in an untekked state, the table below lists the overall chance of it coming with the Charge special.
