Tempest

Tempest is a lightning damage weapon special. It is the highest tier of lightning damage specials (4★). Machine-type monsters, with the exception of Epsilon, Vol Opt, and Vol Opt ver. 2, have a chance to be Shocked by lightning damage specials.

Damage

Damage inflicted by Tempest depends on the Player level and Enemy ETH.

Damage = (Power) * (100 - (Enemy ETH)) * 0.01
Shock Chance = (Difficulty Modifier) * (Unit Boost)

• Unit Boost is as follows:
  • 1.5 if either V501 or V502 are equipped
    • These do not stack with each other
  • 1 if neither are equipped
• Difficulty Modifier is as follows:
  • 6.67% for Normal, Hard, and Very Hard
  • 2.5% for Ultimate

All common weapons can drop with Tempest as a special attack, except for drops in Normal difficulty; Hard difficulty; and Forest, Cave 1, Cave 2, VR Spaceship, Crater East, Crater West on Very Hard difficulty. Common weapons dropping with the Tempest special can be tekked down one special tier to gain the Storm special. Tempest can be added to ES Weapons as a special for 30 Photon drops.
