Baranz's parts were used to create this enemy weapon.

Baranz Launcher is a rare shot that is the result of converting the enemy part Tool icon.pngParts of Baranz.

It is widely considered to be the strongest shot in the game due to its high ATP and Charge special, as well as the ability to (semi-) reliably add Hit % to it, however it has a few drawbacks:

  • It can only hit 4 targets instead of 5
  • The projectiles move slower, making it less reliable on faster-moving enemies due to manual evasion

Hit can be added to this weapon by exchanging Tool icon.pngPhoton Crystals with Dr. Montague in the quest Quest icon.pngClaire's Deal 5 (after completing a sidequest in Quest icon.png9-5:The Chosen (1/2)), to a maximum of 50.

Availability

Enemy Parts

Baranz Launcher is obtainable by giving Montague a Tool icon.pngParts of Baranz in the quest Quest icon.pngDr. Osto's Research or Quest icon.pngUnsealed Door after completing Quest icon.pngDoc's Secret Plan.

Trivia

  • Despite being named Baranz Launcher and being created from a Parts of Baranz, the colouring of the weapon matches the Garanz enemy. Oddly enough, there is a skin for a version which represents the colours of a Baranz (blue and orange colors) located in the game files. It is unknown why it was created and not used.
  • Though Baranz Launcher has a high ATP potential, it is often passed up for similar weapons, such as Charge Arms, because of its susceptibility to miss due to manual evasion. This is where weapons with non-homing low projectile speed can miss because the target has moved far that its hitbox has moved away from the coordinates at which the projectile was fired.
