The Chronocide Trial series of quests involves a mechanic where the room gets progressively darker as the players runs out of time. The time remaining is directly linked to the darkness of the room. | |||
Players start with 2 minutes, and will receive time bonuses for clearing specific rooms. These time bonuses vary based on how many players are currently in the game. | |||
When players run out of time, everything freezes, and after 5 seconds the players may choose to return to Pioneer 2 or stay so they can pick up loot. After this point, they are then given the option of using the quest board to exit to Pioneer 2. | |||
