Location / Hunting
The following quests are a good place to find this enemy:
- Forest of Sorrow (16)
- Towards the Future, 1 in first room and 3 in the next room (4)
- Rappy's Holiday (75)
- Tyrell's Ego (50)
Strategy
Hunters
You can usually strafe back and to their right to dodge their punches, then deliver a normal-hard combo before they spin and punch you again. Usually. Their punches seem to have better coverage on their left, so it's inadvisable to attack from that side. At range, they'll spit fireballs at you, but those are relatively easy to dodge and don't do as much damage.
Rangers
Once the Hildebear has closed the gap (which it may do by jumping on you), you can use the same blind spot on their right to continue delivering attacks. If you can maintain range, all you have to worry about are fireballs, which are much easier to deal with.
Forces
Hildebears in Ep. 1 are weak to Barta until Ultimate, where they are weak to Grants. In Ep.2, they are weak to Barta and Megid in all difficulties.
Rare Spawns
A Hildebear has a 1/500 chance of spawning as a Hildeblue.
