Stealth Suit's aesthetic effect

Frame icon.pngStealth Suit is a rare frame with an aesthetic effect. It offers no DFP, instead only increasing the user's EVP by the highest amount of any other frame in the game.

While Stealth Suit is equipped, the character will turn almost transparent while standing still. Moving will cause the user to become less transparent, while attacking or using techniques or lobby actions will cause the user to return to a fully visible state.

Stealth Suit is considered a useful frame because it removes the "slingshot" effect that ranged weapons suffer from, where if they are fired too quickly after equipping, but before the model has loaded, the bullets will actually be fired from the last position they were equipped. Wearing Stealth Suit to remove this effect can enable the character to do damage faster than they might have otherwise. Additionally, Stealth Suit reduces the number of frames required to warp by five (if the user is moving) or seven frames (if the user is standing still) when initiating the warp.

Note that while this frame has a max EVP of 325, it can only come with 300 EVP as it is a quest reward.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The warp speed increase happens because, when warping, PSO first fades the character to transparent at a rate of 10% transparency per frame. Stealth Suit makes the character 80% transparent when standing still or 40% transparent when moving, giving it a head start in fading out. The extra frame required (why it's 5-7 frames, not 6-8) is due to floating point inaccuracy.
