Mercurius Rod is a rare rod. It offers the highest weapon-based 
Grants boost in the game, and casts level 2 
Gifoie as its special attack.
Despite being weak in range and damage, the Gifoie special is situationally useful to interrupt specific enemy attacks (e.g. Spawning Dorphon/Delbiter charges, Zu dives, etc). It also excels at splitting Pofuilly Slimes (using the special attack as the 3rd attack in the combo) if TP is low and/or 
Rabarta is unavailable, as the low damage prevents the Slimes from being destroyed early.
