RAcast is an android Ranger with the highest ATP – but the lowest ATA – of all the Ranger types. With the Ranger arsenal and high ATP, he is an extremely powerful damage dealer, easily able to wipe entire rooms with little effort, providing that he is being provided with high-level Shifta. Due to his access to traps as well, he has almost unparalleled crowd control, alongside his android boost to paralysis specials.
On his own, RAcast can be a little weak, as unlike Hunters, there is no supply of Shifta other than Mylla & Youlla, meaning that RAcast can struggle to kill things quickly in the initial section of quests without high-attribute gear. However, his access to traps means that even if he is a little slow in some areas, he is able to play very safely.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Extremely powerful in multiplayer - With the Ranger arsenal, high ATP, and a source of Shifta, RAcast does extremely high damage over a wide area with little effort
- Ranger arsenal - With options such as Frozen Shooter, ES Needle, Heaven Striker, and sacrificial Arms, Rangers have options for every situation.
- Access to traps - The most powerful crowd control tool in the game
- Highest HP in the game - Able to withstand the most attacks, making fixed attack damage the most dangerous source of damage
Cons
- Weak alone - While RAcast can be powerful in areas which primarily rely on instant death specials, RAcast's complete lack of Shifta can make him much slower than other options when playing alone
Section ID choice
Note that the section ID choices below are merely suggestions, and are not required choices for playing RAcast. All IDs have tangible benefits, leaving ID selection up to player preference. Below are a few recommended IDs for RAcast depending on what type of item coverage is preferred.
Finding items for RAcast
Greenill
Greenill has access to many core Ranger items – namely Heaven Striker, Frozen Shooter, Cannon Rouge, and V502. Greenill also has access to V101 and Red Ring, important items that are excellent hunts for any class.
Purplenum
Purplenum also receives many items that are excellent hunts for any Ranger. Like Greenill, it gets Heaven Striker, Frozen Shooter, and V502; Purplenum also has several good M&A60 Vise drops and an increased chance of finding common mechguns, giving it the best chance at acquiring sacrificial Vulcans with high Hit.
Finding items that RAcast hunts well
Bluefull
Rangers are incredibly good everywhere, but especially in Episode 2, where Bluefull has a very powerful Seabed, which includes Yunchang, Zanba, Psycho Wand, and Parasitic Gene "Flow". On top of this, Bluefull can hunt Limiter very well from Astarks, which is an easy hunt for Rangers as well. Heaven Striker also makes an appearance in Episode 1 from Del-Ds.
Skyly
Similarly to Bluefull, Skyly has many good items and hunts in Episode 2, where Ranger shines in comparison to other classes. While Skyly is usually thought of as a Hunter ID, Rangers will have an easier time hunting many of the core Skyly items, which include Heaven Punisher, Sealed J-Sword, Monkey King Bar, Vivienne, Daylight Scar, and Guren. On top of this, Lame d'Argent can be found from Dorphons, which is a very useful item for all classes, but especially Rangers.
General good ID
Whitill
Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. Whitill is the most unrestrictive ID, giving players the freedom to play any content and still have the chance of scoring something big, in contrast to more restrictive IDs such as Bluefull, which focus players into certain areas. Whitill finds many good items such as V502, Heaven Striker, Diska of Braveman, Frozen Shooter, Slicer of Fanatic, and more!
Material and Mag plans
Important Stats Only - Maxes important stats as early as possible. Recommended for leveling.
Min-Max - Maxes as many character specific stats as possible by level 200 using the minimum number of slot units. Recommended at level 200.
Max Stats - Attempts to max all stats at level 200. Ignores any sort of equipment efficiency. Not recommended.
