Rare enemies are rolled again when starting a new lap in this quest.
Mags are a necessity for all characters, as they provide large stat boosts, access to Photon Blasts, and certain utility through their Mag trigger effects.

Room Objectives
When starting out, Mags will seem complicated, but feeding one and getting what you want is actually very easy!
Each room of the quest has one of five objectives, chosen randomly for non-boss areas:
* Avoid taking damage.
* Avoid healing.
* Avoid death.
* Avoid losing meseta.
* Avoid using Hell or Megid.
Time and points added per area is based on the number of penalties the party receives for the current objective.

Additionally, areas 5 and 15 each have a bonus objective on top of their typical objective, which is a task that awards additional points if completed successfully.
This guide will explain how to make a simple POW Mag (45-50+ POW, 45-50+ DEX) and a simple MIND Mag (45-50+ DEX, 45-50+ MIND) with three Photon Blasts and a fourth-stage evolution, including for the POW Mag.
__TOC__
Simple POW Mag
A simple POW Mag is ideal for all Hunters and all Rangers.
# Feed your Mag Antidote until it evolves at level 10. It will turn into a Varuna, Kalki, or Vritra, depending on which class evolves it. It will gain the Photon Blast Farlla, Estlla, or Leilla.
# Feed your Mag until it evolves at level 35. It will turn into a Marutah, Mitra, or Ashvinau, depending on which Mag it evolves from. It will also gain the Photon Blast Pilla.
# Feed your Mag ( or ) or Antiparalysis () until level 49.
# Transfer your Mag to a Hunter with a TypeA section ID, or a Ranger with a TypeB section ID, then feed it / on that character until it evolves at level 50. It will gain the Photon Blast .
#* You can transfer your Mag by depositing it in your account-wide "common bank" (which can be accessed with the <code>/bank</code> chat command). Then, create a new character of the appropriate section ID and class and retrieve it from your common bank by using the same command.
# From this point on, feed your Mag Monomate (or Monomate) until it has 45 POW, and then feed it / (whichever increases DEX only) until it has 45 DEX.
#* If your Mag evolves again at this stage, don't worry! Mags can change forms regularly at levels 50-100. Find the Mag on the Mag feeding tables page, and use those charts to continue only increasing DEX.
# Once your Mag has reached 5 DEF, 45 POW, and 45 DEX (5/45/45/0), choose one of the Mags below and follow the steps provided to evolve it at level 100:

Your Mag's stats will now be either 5/50/45/0, or 5/45/50/0, depending on which of the above Mags you chose. Now, you just have to level it to 200 by feeding it how you wish to raise the stats:

Boss rooms each have their own static objective, which are the following:
* POW:  or
* Barba Ray: Avoid healing.
* DEX: / (varies by Mag; see Mag feeding tables to be sure which only increases DEX)
* Gol Dragon: Avoid taking damage.
* MIND:  or
* Gal Gryphon: Avoid losing meseta.
* Olga Flow: Avoid death.

A lap ends after 20 total areas, or 21 if Olga is reached. (Additional Area)
If you are unsure as to which stats your final Mag should have, you should only raise POW until the Mag reaches level 200 – for example, 145 or 150 POW, with 50 or 45 DEX.

Simple MIND Mag
A simple MIND Mag is ideal for all Forces.

DEX is included on this Mag for two reasons: First, using certain weapons for their special attacks is extremely useful on Forces in situations where techniques are not, and having higher ATA helps with this. Second, a certain amount of DEX is required on a Mag at level 100 for it to evolve into the options below.
# Feed your Mag Antiparalysis until it evolves at level 10.
# Feed your Mag until level 49.
# Transfer your Mag to a Hunter or Ranger with a TypeB section ID, then feed it until it evolves at 50. It will turn into Yaksa (on HU) or Varaha (on RA) and gain the Photon Blast Golla.
#* You can transfer your Mag by depositing it in your account-wide "common bank" (which can be accessed with the <code>/bank</code> chat command). Then, create a new character of the appropriate section ID and class and retrieve it from your common bank by using the same command.
# From this point on, feed your Mag Monofluid (or Difluid) until it has 45 MIND, and then feed it Antidote/ (whichever increases DEX only) until it has 45 DEX.
#* If your Mag evolves again at this stage, don't worry! Mags can change forms regularly at levels 50-100. Find the Mag on the Mag feeding tables page, and use those charts to continue only increasing DEX.
# Once your Mag has reached 5 DEF, 45 MIND, and 45 DEX (5/0/45/45), choose one of the Mags below and follow the steps provided to evolve it at level 100:
<br>
<center><gallery class="center" widths="260px" perrow="3" style="text-align:left" caption="Click on an image to see more detailed information (and a gallery) for each Mag">

Your Mag's stats will now be either 5/0/45/50, or 5/0/50/45, depending on which of the above Mags you chose. Now, you just have to level it to 200 by feeding it how you wish to raise the stats:

* POW:  or
* DEX: / (varies by Mag; see Mag feeding tables to be sure which only increases DEX)
* MIND:  or

If you are unsure as to which stats your final Mag should have, continue raising MIND only until the Mag is level 200.

Advanced MIND Mag
Another option for caster Forces is to make a Mag with as much MIND as possible. The Mag's stats end up being either 15/0/0/185 or 13/0/0/187 with a time-consuming trick.

While the feeding plan for this Mag is simple (only Monofluid), overall this plan is more advanced because it is more technical and time-consuming.

# Transfer your Mag to a Hunter. Feed your Mag until it evolves at level 10. It will turn into a Varuna and gain the Photon Blast Farlla.
#* It is not strictly necessary to use a Hunter here to achieve the goal stats but you can get Estlla later and Farlla is generally better than Leilla or Golla which are the only other options. Hunters also raise this Mag a little bit faster.
#* If you want a 13/0/0/187 Mag, you need to learn the bank/leave game trick. When a Mag is put into the bank, any odd values will round down to even values. Since odd values of DEF are common, this can be used to lower how much total DEF the Mag has. If you bank after every Monofluid, you should be able to just barely reach 13/0/0/22 by Level 35.
# Feed your Mag until it evolves at level 35. It will turn into a Vayu and gain the Photon Blast .
#* At this point, your Mag's stats should be either 15/0/0/20 or 13/0/0/22. Future steps should only increase its MIND.
#* For a 13/0/0/22 Mag, feeding Trifluid without leveling DEX saves time and adds a bit of wiggle room for the DEF value.
# Transfer your Mag to a Hunter with a TypeB section ID. Feed your Mag until it evolves at level 50. It will turn into a Bana and gain the Photon Blast Estlla.
# Until level 200, feed your Mag (or using Table 6).

Lap Completion
After completion of a lap, one rank of a quest-wide penalty is applied for the rest of the run. These are applied in the following order:
* Reduced invincibility (blessing) chance. (Max: 5 ranks)
* Room clear time decrease. (Max: 5 ranks)
* Stricter penalties (Penalties reduce the room clear time award by additional amounts.) (Max: 4 ranks)
* Extra time deduction per penalty (x additional seconds are deducted from the timer per penalty, x being the current lap number.) (Max: Infinite ranks)
Quest Board
The Quest Board (Item Pack -> Quest Board) has some optional uses in this quest, allowing the player to:
* Check their current points.
* Check the current room's objective.
* Check the number of objective penalties for the current room.
* Check the current lap number.
Invincibility Blessing
Each non-boss room has a 15% base chance (reduced by 3% per rank of the lap penalty) of granting invincibility to the party for a variable amount of time. The duration of this is based on how fast the previous room was cleared.
Additional Area
If the party manages to reach the end of a lap with a low amount of overall penalties (the exact limit is five times the number of party members, or three when solo), Olga Flow is given as an additional area. This area does not subtract from the timer, and gives a higher than usual amount of points for completion.
Gemstone Side Quest
A side quest that awards additional points and meseta can be completed once per lap. A video with the necessary steps can be found here.

< Return to Mags

Mags are a necessity for all characters, as they provide large stat boosts, access to Photon Blasts, and certain utility through their Mag trigger effects.

When starting out, Mags will seem complicated, but feeding one and getting what you want is actually very easy!

This guide will explain how to make a simple POW Mag (45-50+ POW, 45-50+ DEX) and a simple MIND Mag (45-50+ DEX, 45-50+ MIND) with three Photon Blasts and a fourth-stage evolution, including Mylla & Youlla.pngMylla & Youlla for the POW Mag.

Simple POW Mag

A simple POW Mag is ideal for all Hunters and all Rangers.

  1. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngAntidotes until it evolves at level 10. It will turn into a Mag icon.pngVaruna, Mag icon.pngKalki, or Mag icon.pngVritra, depending on which class evolves it. It will gain the Photon Blast Farlla.pngFarlla, Estlla.pngEstlla, or Leilla.pngLeilla.
  2. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngAntidotes until it evolves at level 35. It will turn into a Mag icon.pngMarutah, Mag icon.pngMitra, or Mag icon.pngAshvinau, depending on which Mag it evolves from. It will also gain the Photon Blast Pilla.pngPilla.
  3. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngAntidotes (Mag icon.pngMarutah or Mag icon.pngAshvinau) or Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis (Mag icon.pngMitra) until level 49.
  4. Transfer your Mag to a Hunter with a ViridiaSkylyPurplenumRedriaYellowboze section ID, or a Ranger with a GreenillBluefullPinkalOranWhitill section ID, then feed it Tool icon.pngAntidotes/Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis on that character until it evolves at level 50. It will gain the Photon Blast Mylla & Youlla.pngMylla & Youlla.
    • You can transfer your Mag by depositing it in your account-wide "common bank" (which can be accessed with the /bank chat command). Then, create a new character of the appropriate section ID and class and retrieve it from your common bank by using the same command.
  5. From this point on, feed your Mag Mate icon.pngMonomates (or Mate icon.pngDimates) until it has 45 POW, and then feed it Tool icon.pngAntidotes/Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis (whichever increases DEX only) until it has 45 DEX.
    • If your Mag evolves again at this stage, don't worry! Mags can change forms regularly at levels 50-100. Find the Mag on the Mag feeding tables page, and use those charts to continue only increasing DEX.
  6. Once your Mag has reached 5 DEF, 45 POW, and 45 DEX (5/45/45/0), choose one of the Mags below and follow the steps provided to evolve it at level 100:

Your Mag's stats will now be either 5/50/45/0, or 5/45/50/0, depending on which of the above Mags you chose. Now, you just have to level it to 200 by feeding it how you wish to raise the stats:

  • POW: Mate icon.pngMonomate or Mate icon.pngDimate
  • DEX: Tool icon.pngAntidote/Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis (varies by Mag; see Mag feeding tables to be sure which only increases DEX)
  • MIND: Fluid icon.pngMonofluid or Fluid icon.pngDifluid

If you are unsure as to which stats your final Mag should have, you should only raise POW until the Mag reaches level 200 – for example, 145 or 150 POW, with 50 or 45 DEX.

Simple MIND Mag

A simple MIND Mag is ideal for all Forces.

DEX is included on this Mag for two reasons: First, using certain weapons for their special attacks is extremely useful on Forces in situations where techniques are not, and having higher ATA helps with this. Second, a certain amount of DEX is required on a Mag at level 100 for it to evolve into the options below.

  1. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis until it evolves at level 10.
  2. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis until it evolves at level 35. It will turn into a Mag icon.pngMarutah, Mag icon.pngMitra, or Mag icon.pngAshvinau, depending on which Mag it evolves from. It will also gain the Photon Blast Pilla.pngPilla.
  3. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis until level 49.
  4. Transfer your Mag to a Hunter or Ranger with a GreenillBluefullPinkalOranWhitill section ID, then feed it Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis until it evolves at 50. It will turn into Mag icon.pngYaksa (on HU) or Mag icon.pngVaraha (on RA) and gain the Photon Blast Golla.pngGolla.
    • You can transfer your Mag by depositing it in your account-wide "common bank" (which can be accessed with the /bank chat command). Then, create a new character of the appropriate section ID and class and retrieve it from your common bank by using the same command.
  5. From this point on, feed your Mag Fluid icon.pngMonofluids (or Fluid icon.pngDifluids) until it has 45 MIND, and then feed it Tool icon.pngAntidotes/Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis (whichever increases DEX only) until it has 45 DEX.
    • If your Mag evolves again at this stage, don't worry! Mags can change forms regularly at levels 50-100. Find the Mag on the Mag feeding tables page, and use those charts to continue only increasing DEX.
  6. Once your Mag has reached 5 DEF, 45 MIND, and 45 DEX (5/0/45/45), choose one of the Mags below and follow the steps provided to evolve it at level 100:

Your Mag's stats will now be either 5/0/45/50, or 5/0/50/45, depending on which of the above Mags you chose. Now, you just have to level it to 200 by feeding it how you wish to raise the stats:

  • POW: Mate icon.pngMonomate or Mate icon.pngDimate
  • DEX: Tool icon.pngAntidote/Tool icon.pngAntiparalysis (varies by Mag; see Mag feeding tables to be sure which only increases DEX)
  • MIND: Fluid icon.pngMonofluid or Fluid icon.pngDifluid

If you are unsure as to which stats your final Mag should have, continue raising MIND only until the Mag is level 200.

Advanced MIND Mag

Another option for caster Forces is to make a Mag with as much MIND as possible. The Mag's stats end up being either 15/0/0/185 or 13/0/0/187 with a time-consuming trick.

While the feeding plan for this Mag is simple (only Tool icon.pngMonofluid), overall this plan is more advanced because it is more technical and time-consuming.

  1. Transfer your Mag to a Hunter. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngMonofluid until it evolves at level 10. It will turn into a Mag icon.pngVaruna and gain the Photon Blast Farlla.pngFarlla.
    • It is not strictly necessary to use a Hunter here to achieve the goal stats but you can get Estlla.pngEstlla later and Farlla.pngFarlla is generally better than Leilla.pngLeilla or Golla.pngGolla which are the only other options. Hunters also raise this Mag a little bit faster.
    • If you want a 13/0/0/187 Mag, you need to learn the bank/leave game trick. When a Mag is put into the bank, any odd values will round down to even values. Since odd values of DEF are common, this can be used to lower how much total DEF the Mag has. If you bank after every Monofluid, you should be able to just barely reach 13/0/0/22 by Level 35.
  2. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngMonofluid until it evolves at level 35. It will turn into a Mag icon.pngVayu and gain the Photon Blast Mylla & Youlla.pngMylla & Youlla.
    • At this point, your Mag's stats should be either 15/0/0/20 or 13/0/0/22. Future steps should only increase its MIND.
    • For a 13/0/0/22 Mag, feeding Tool icon.pngTrifluid without leveling DEX saves time and adds a bit of wiggle room for the DEF value.
  3. Transfer your Mag to a Hunter with a GreenillBluefullPinkalOranWhitill section ID. Feed your Mag Tool icon.pngMonofluid until it evolves at level 50. It will turn into a Mag icon.pngBana and gain the Photon Blast Estlla.pngEstlla.
  4. Until level 200, feed your Mag Tool icon.pngMonofluid (or Tool icon.pngTrifluid using Table 6).
