===Finding items for HUnewearl===
===General Recommendations for HUnewearl===
<big>{{Skyly|32}}</big>
<big>{{Purplenum}}</big>

Skyly has access to many essential HUnewearl items and an increased rate of finding sword-type weapons, which is important in the early game and for finding Hit {{Sword|attributes|Calibur|Caliburs}} later. Specific items include {{Sword|rare|Daylight Scar}}, {{Sword|rare|Sealed J-Sword}}, {{Shield|rare|Red Ring}}, and {{Sword|rare|Lame d'Argent}}.
{{Gun|rare|M&A60 Vise}} with high hit attribute is a core HUnewearl item that has many potential sources on {{Purplenum}}.  Vise and {{Cane|rare|Pyscho Wand}} can be hunted together in Caves, often in the same quest.  {{Gun|rare|Frozen Shooter}} and {{Sword|rare|Lavis Cannon}} can be hunted by {{Purplenum}} in the Forest.

===Finding items that HUnewearl hunts well===
The Central Control Area offers a solid hunt for the valuable {{Gun|rare|Heaven Punisher}}, along with the end-game special improving unit: {{Unit|rare|V502}}.  {{Tool|rare|Parasitic Gene Flow}} drops from Ogla Flow on this id, however, {{Yellowboze}} is a competitive ID for hunting this item (Maximum Attack E: Gal Da Val can be a better quest to hunt for PGF on {{Purplenum}} compared to Respective Tomorrow).
<big>{{Viridia|32}}</big>

Hunters are potent boss killers, and Viridia is ideal for hunting bosses, as {{Shield|rare|Red Ring}} and {{Tool|rare|Parasitic Gene "Flow"}} are coveted drops which only drop from the bosses at the end of Episode 1 and Episode 2. {{Gun|rare|L&K38 Combat}} is also an item that can be hunted while hunting bosses.
For Point of Disaster in Episode 4, the Rare Boss, Kondrieu drops {{Gun|rare|Heaven Striker}}, which, like {{Cane|rare|Psycho Wand}}, can be traded to other players for {{Tool|rare|Photon Drops}} to afford better gear for your HUnewearl.  Even a hitless {{Gun|rare|Heaven Striker}} can be worth one or two photon drops while trading with other players.
===General good ID===

<big>{{Whitill|32}}</big>
<big>{{Bluefull}}</big>

A similar choice to {{Purplenum}}, but the primary hunt this id offers is {{Sword|rare|Vjaya}} instead of {{Gun|rare|M&A60 Vise}}.  {{Sword|rare|Vjaya}} is incredibly strong, but less frequently utilized weapon by players in standard gameplay when compared with other HUnewearl staples like {{Gun|rare|M&A60 Vise}}, {{Sword|rare|Dark Flow}}, or {{Sword|rare|Diska of Braveman}}.

{{Cane|rare|Psycho Wand}} can be hunted in the Seabed of Episode 2 from Delbiter.  {{Gun|rare|Heaven Striker}} can be hunted from Del-D in the Ruins of Episode 1.  This ID offers one of the easiest, but least likely to yield success hunts for the highly desirable ranger weapon, {{Gun|rare|Heaven Punisher}} from Hildetorrs (rare enemy) in Episode 1.

<big>{{Yellowboze}}</big>

Yellowboze can hunt {{Gun|rare|Frozen Shooter}} and {{Gun|rare|Spread Needle}}, {{Gun|rare|Cannon Rouge}} (rare enemy), as well as both {{Sword|rare|Lame d'Argent}} and {{Sword|rare|Galatine}} - two of the best sabers for any class that can wield them.  Other strong items to hunt on Yellowboze include:  {{Unit|rare|V101}}, {{Sword|rare|Daylight Scar}} (rare boss), {{Tool|rare|Photon Filter}}, and {{Frame|rare|Select Cloak}}, the last two being components for {{Tool|rare|Divine Filter}}.  A HUnewearl with this id will likely be spending most of the time in the Mines of Episode 1, and Episode 4 quests that include killing the boss (for chances to hunt {{Sword|rare|Galatine}}, or {{Sword|rare|Daylight Scar}}). Specifically for HUnewearl and HUmar, {{Sword|rare|Flowen's_Sword_(3084)}} can be hunted in Episode 2 easily; be warned this weapon requires a lot of hit attribute to perform well with its Spirit special attack.

<big>{{Whitill}}</big>

Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. Whitill is the most unrestrictive ID, giving players the freedom to play any content and still have the chance of scoring something big, in contrast to more restrictive IDs such as {{Bluefull}}, which focus players into certain areas. Whitill finds many good items such as {{Unit|rare|V502}}, {{Gun|rare|Heaven Striker}}, {{Sword|rare|Diska of Braveman}}, {{Gun|rare|Frozen Shooter}}, {{Sword|rare|Slicer of Fanatic}}, and more!

Viridia icon.png This article is currently a stub.
A stub is an article which does not cover all information available about the topic. You can help by expanding it.
HUnewearl.png

HUnewearl is a newman Hunter. Of the four Hunters, she is the only one that has access to the Shifta.pngShifta and Deband.pngDeband techniques, along with access to level 20 of all other techniques, minus the Force-exclusive Grants.pngGrants, Megid.pngMegid, and Reverser.pngReverser. She is the most balanced of the four Hunters due to this, as her relatively mediocre stats can be overlooked due to her access to useful support techniques.

HUnewearl is suited as a beginner Hunter, as her access to level 20 Resta.pngResta, Deband.pngDeband, and Jellen.pngJellen allows players to learn how to tackle various scenarios with low risk. Other techniques such as Gifoie.pngGifoie, Rabarta.pngRabarta, and Razonde.pngRazonde also give her access to decent crowd control. While she is not as powerful as the other Hunters, she will always find a place in any situation.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Access to powerful Hunter weapons - Weapons such as Sword icon.pngDark Flow and Sword icon.pngVjaya allow HUnewearl to do extremely high damage, albeit only in specific scenarios and with high costs
  • Access to level 20 support techniques - HUnewearl can buff herself and her other party members, as well as provide potent healing during the early game and for Berserk usage

Cons

  • Limited effective range - In comparison to Rangers and Forces, Hunters do not have as much area-of-effect range, meaning their effectiveness is lowered if not positioned correctly
  • Low ATP - With only 1,237 maximum ATP, HUnewearl is very weak as a Hunter, and does not offer much to a party if another support character is present
  • Bad stat growth - All newmans have very low base stats (except MST and EVP), making it difficult for them to equip certain items as they progress, and requiring more investment to reach their maximum stats

Section ID choice

Note that the section ID choices below are merely suggestions, and are not required choices for playing HUnewearl. All IDs have tangible benefits, leaving ID selection to player preference. Below are a few recommended IDs for HUnewearl depending on what type of item coverage is preferred.

General Recommendations for HUnewearl

Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum

Gun icon.pngM&A60 Vise with high hit attribute is a core HUnewearl item that has many potential sources on Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum. Vise and Cane icon.pngPyscho Wand can be hunted together in Caves, often in the same quest. Gun icon.pngFrozen Shooter and Sword icon.pngLavis Cannon can be hunted by Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum in the Forest.

The Central Control Area offers a solid hunt for the valuable Gun icon.pngHeaven Punisher, along with the end-game special improving unit: Unit icon.pngV502. Tool icon.pngParasitic Gene Flow drops from Ogla Flow on this id, however, Yellowboze icon.pngYellowboze is a competitive ID for hunting this item (Maximum Attack E: Gal Da Val can be a better quest to hunt for PGF on Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum compared to Respective Tomorrow).

For Point of Disaster in Episode 4, the Rare Boss, Kondrieu drops Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker, which, like Cane icon.pngPsycho Wand, can be traded to other players for Tool icon.pngPhoton Drops to afford better gear for your HUnewearl. Even a hitless Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker can be worth one or two photon drops while trading with other players.

Bluefull icon.pngBluefull

A similar choice to Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum, but the primary hunt this id offers is Sword icon.pngVjaya instead of Gun icon.pngM&A60 Vise. Sword icon.pngVjaya is incredibly strong, but less frequently utilized weapon by players in standard gameplay when compared with other HUnewearl staples like Gun icon.pngM&A60 Vise, Sword icon.pngDark Flow, or Sword icon.pngDiska of Braveman.

Cane icon.pngPsycho Wand can be hunted in the Seabed of Episode 2 from Delbiter. Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker can be hunted from Del-D in the Ruins of Episode 1. This ID offers one of the easiest, but least likely to yield success hunts for the highly desirable ranger weapon, Gun icon.pngHeaven Punisher from Hildetorrs (rare enemy) in Episode 1.

Yellowboze icon.pngYellowboze

Yellowboze can hunt Gun icon.pngFrozen Shooter and Gun icon.pngSpread Needle, Gun icon.pngCannon Rouge (rare enemy), as well as both Sword icon.pngLame d'Argent and Sword icon.pngGalatine - two of the best sabers for any class that can wield them. Other strong items to hunt on Yellowboze include: Unit icon.pngV101, Sword icon.pngDaylight Scar (rare boss), Tool icon.pngPhoton Filter, and Frame icon.pngSelect Cloak, the last two being components for Tool icon.pngDivine Filter. A HUnewearl with this id will likely be spending most of the time in the Mines of Episode 1, and Episode 4 quests that include killing the boss (for chances to hunt Sword icon.pngGalatine, or Sword icon.pngDaylight Scar). Specifically for HUnewearl and HUmar, Sword icon.pngFlowen's_Sword_(3084) can be hunted in Episode 2 easily; be warned this weapon requires a lot of hit attribute to perform well with its Spirit special attack.

Whitill icon.pngWhitill

Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. Whitill is the most unrestrictive ID, giving players the freedom to play any content and still have the chance of scoring something big, in contrast to more restrictive IDs such as Bluefull icon.pngBluefull, which focus players into certain areas. Whitill finds many good items such as Unit icon.pngV502, Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker, Sword icon.pngDiska of Braveman, Gun icon.pngFrozen Shooter, Sword icon.pngSlicer of Fanatic, and more!

Viridia icon.pngViridia

If the player's primary interests are boss rushes like Towards The Future and Respective Tomorrow, Viridia icon.pngViridia is a good choice. Shield icon.pngRed Ring and Tool icon.pngParasitic Gene "Flow" are coveted drops which only drop from the bosses at the end of Episode 1 and Episode 2. Gun icon.pngL&K38 Combat with high hit attribute is a very potent HUnewearl weapon and highly sought after by other players.

Skyly icon.pngSkyly

Skyly has access to many essential HUnewearl items and an increased rate of finding sword-type weapons, which is important in the early game and for finding Hit Sword icon.pngCaliburs later. Items include Sword icon.pngDaylight Scar, Sword icon.pngSealed J-Sword, Sword icon.pngZanba, Shield icon.pngRed Ring, and Sword icon.pngLame d'Argent. Be warned that Skyly icon.pngSkyly is not always the ideal HUnewearl id, despite it having many items desired by the class. Players who find success with this id for HUnewearl likely have experience and strong middle to late game items at their disposal.

Material and Mag plans

Important Stats Only - Maxes important stats as early as possible. Recommended for leveling.
Min-Max - Maxes as many character specific stats as possible by level 200 using the minimum number of slot units. Recommended at level 200.
Min-Max (Allows Barrier Swap) - Maxes out ATP, ATA, and LCK with just a Mag and V101, allowing free usage of the barrier slot while maintaining max LCK.
Max Stats - Attempts to max all stats at level 200. Ignores any sort of equipment efficiency. Not recommended.

With V101

Plan Mag Units Barrier Materials
Power Def Mind Evade Luck Unused
Important Stats Only[1] 5/95/100/0 Unit icon.pngV101 Shield icon.pngRed Ring 122 - - - 28 -
Min-Max[2] 5/95/100/0 Unit icon.pngV101 Shield icon.pngRed Ring 99 - 23 - 28 -
Min-Max (Allows Barrier Swap)[3] 5/95/100/0 Unit icon.pngV101 - 99 13 - - 38 -
Max Stats 5/176/19/0 Unit icon.pngV101, Unit icon.pngAdept, Unit icon.pngAdept, Unit icon.pngCenturion/Ability Shield icon.pngRed Ring - - 104 40 3 3
  1. This plan allows for Cane icon.pngClio usage at level 195
  2. This plan allows for Clio usage at level 184
  3. This plan allows for Clio usage at level 195 (level 200 without Red Ring) and allows usage of Barriers other than Red Ring without sacrificing maximum LCK, such as Shield icon.pngAnti-Dark Ring for some Megid.pngMegid immunity breakpoints or Shield icon.pngKasami Bracer, Shield icon.pngYata Mirror, or Shield icon.pngCombat Gear for a minor additional ATP increase to improve certain niche damage breakpoints - most notably this improves reliability of Sword icon.pngDark Flow's special attack killing Mericarol in multiplayer with Shifta.pngShifta Lv20

Note that the Max Stats plan isn't recommended here; it forces HUnewearl to use all four of her unit slots resulting in her being unable to use any powerful utility units.

Unit icon.pngSmartlink, Unit icon.pngV502, Unit icon.pngV801, and Unit icon.pngProof of Sword-Saint(s) have very useful effects in many situations. Status immunity Cure units offer minor quality of life against their respective statuses.

Unit icon.pngHeavenly/HP offers a niche breakpoint for optimized play. One Heavenly/HP can raise a level 200 HUnewearl with the maximum of 125 Tool icon.pngHP materials used (unaffected by the general 150 material limit shared by Tool icon.pngPower Material, Tool icon.pngDef Material, Tool icon.pngMind Material, Tool icon.pngEvade Material, and Tool icon.pngLuck Material) from 1558 HP to 1668 HP, thus improving Sword icon.pngDark Flow's special attack maximum HP threshold from 194 HP to 207 HP and allowing for use of one Tool icon.pngMonomate from Berserk's minimum HP of 3 to survive minor damage like Hildelt's or Astark's 5 spawn-in damage while retaining access to Dark Flow's special attack.

Without V101

These plans below are those which use Frame icon.pngBlue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou instead of V101. These are generally not recommended over using V101 paired with the freedom to swap Frames, ideally preferring an offensive Frame such as Frame icon.pngThirteen or Frame icon.pngSweetheart.

Plan Mag Units Barrier Materials
Power Def Mind Evade Luck Unused
Important Stats Only[1] 5/92/103/0 - Shield icon.pngRed Ring 115 - - - 35 -
Min-Max[2] 5/92/103/0 - Shield icon.pngRed Ring 109 - 6 - 35 -
  1. This plan allows for Clio usage at level 199
  2. This plan allows for Clio usage at level 196

HUnewearl has a Max Stats plan without V101, but it would still require four units, meaning there is no advantage to a Max Stats build with Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou.
