A similar choice to {{Purplenum}}, but the primary hunt this id offers is {{Sword|rare|Vjaya}} instead of {{Gun|rare|M&A60 Vise}}. {{Sword|rare|Vjaya}} is incredibly strong, but less frequently utilized weapon by players in standard gameplay when compared with other HUnewearl staples like {{Gun|rare|M&A60 Vise}}, {{Sword|rare|Dark Flow}}, or {{Sword|rare|Diska of Braveman}}. | |||
{{Cane|rare|Psycho Wand}} can be hunted in the Seabed of Episode 2 from Delbiter. {{Gun|rare|Heaven Striker}} can be hunted from Del-D in the Ruins of Episode 1. This ID offers one of the easiest, but least likely to yield success hunts for the highly desirable ranger weapon, {{Gun|rare|Heaven Punisher}} from Hildetorrs (rare enemy) in Episode 1. | |||
<big>{{Yellowboze}}</big> | |||
Yellowboze can hunt {{Gun|rare|Frozen Shooter}} and {{Gun|rare|Spread Needle}}, {{Gun|rare|Cannon Rouge}} (rare enemy), as well as both {{Sword|rare|Lame d'Argent}} and {{Sword|rare|Galatine}} - two of the best sabers for any class that can wield them. Other strong items to hunt on Yellowboze include: {{Unit|rare|V101}}, {{Sword|rare|Daylight Scar}} (rare boss), {{Tool|rare|Photon Filter}}, and {{Frame|rare|Select Cloak}}, the last two being components for {{Tool|rare|Divine Filter}}. A HUnewearl with this id will likely be spending most of the time in the Mines of Episode 1, and Episode 4 quests that include killing the boss (for chances to hunt {{Sword|rare|Galatine}}, or {{Sword|rare|Daylight Scar}}). Specifically for HUnewearl and HUmar, {{Sword|rare|Flowen's_Sword_(3084)}} can be hunted in Episode 2 easily; be warned this weapon requires a lot of hit attribute to perform well with its Spirit special attack. | |||

Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. HUnewearl is a newman Hunter. Of the four Hunters, she is the only one that has access to the
Shifta and
Deband techniques, along with access to level 20 of all other techniques, minus the Force-exclusive
Grants,
Megid, and
Reverser. She is the most balanced of the four Hunters due to this, as her relatively mediocre stats can be overlooked due to her access to useful support techniques.
HUnewearl is suited as a beginner Hunter, as her access to level 20
Resta,
Deband, and
Jellen allows players to learn how to tackle various scenarios with low risk. Other techniques such as
Gifoie,
Rabarta, and
Razonde also give her access to decent crowd control. While she is not as powerful as the other Hunters, she will always find a place in any situation.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Access to powerful Hunter weapons - Weapons such as
Dark Flow and
Vjaya allow HUnewearl to do extremely high damage, albeit only in specific scenarios and with high costs - Access to level 20 support techniques - HUnewearl can buff herself and her other party members, as well as provide potent healing during the early game and for Berserk usage
Cons
- Limited effective range - In comparison to Rangers and Forces, Hunters do not have as much area-of-effect range, meaning their effectiveness is lowered if not positioned correctly
- Low ATP - With only 1,237 maximum ATP, HUnewearl is very weak as a Hunter, and does not offer much to a party if another support character is present
- Bad stat growth - All newmans have very low base stats (except MST and EVP), making it difficult for them to equip certain items as they progress, and requiring more investment to reach their maximum stats
Section ID choice
Note that the section ID choices below are merely suggestions, and are not required choices for playing HUnewearl. All IDs have tangible benefits, leaving ID selection to player preference. Below are a few recommended IDs for HUnewearl depending on what type of item coverage is preferred.
General Recommendations for HUnewearl
Purplenum
M&A60 Vise with high hit attribute is a core HUnewearl item that has many potential sources on
Purplenum. Vise and
Pyscho Wand can be hunted together in Caves, often in the same quest.
Frozen Shooter and
Lavis Cannon can be hunted by
Purplenum in the Forest.
The Central Control Area offers a solid hunt for the valuable
Heaven Punisher, along with the end-game special improving unit:
V502.
Parasitic Gene Flow drops from Ogla Flow on this id, however,
Yellowboze is a competitive ID for hunting this item (Maximum Attack E: Gal Da Val can be a better quest to hunt for PGF on
Purplenum compared to Respective Tomorrow).
For Point of Disaster in Episode 4, the Rare Boss, Kondrieu drops
Heaven Striker, which, like
Psycho Wand, can be traded to other players for
Photon Drops to afford better gear for your HUnewearl. Even a hitless
Heaven Striker can be worth one or two photon drops while trading with other players.
Bluefull
A similar choice to
Purplenum, but the primary hunt this id offers is
Vjaya instead of
M&A60 Vise.
Vjaya is incredibly strong, but less frequently utilized weapon by players in standard gameplay when compared with other HUnewearl staples like
M&A60 Vise,
Dark Flow, or
Diska of Braveman.
Psycho Wand can be hunted in the Seabed of Episode 2 from Delbiter.
Heaven Striker can be hunted from Del-D in the Ruins of Episode 1. This ID offers one of the easiest, but least likely to yield success hunts for the highly desirable ranger weapon,
Heaven Punisher from Hildetorrs (rare enemy) in Episode 1.
Yellowboze
Yellowboze can hunt
Frozen Shooter and
Spread Needle,
Cannon Rouge (rare enemy), as well as both
Lame d'Argent and
Galatine - two of the best sabers for any class that can wield them. Other strong items to hunt on Yellowboze include:
V101,
Daylight Scar (rare boss),
Photon Filter, and
Select Cloak, the last two being components for
Divine Filter. A HUnewearl with this id will likely be spending most of the time in the Mines of Episode 1, and Episode 4 quests that include killing the boss (for chances to hunt
Galatine, or
Daylight Scar). Specifically for HUnewearl and HUmar,
Flowen's_Sword_(3084) can be hunted in Episode 2 easily; be warned this weapon requires a lot of hit attribute to perform well with its Spirit special attack.
Whitill
Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. Whitill is the most unrestrictive ID, giving players the freedom to play any content and still have the chance of scoring something big, in contrast to more restrictive IDs such as
Bluefull, which focus players into certain areas. Whitill finds many good items such as
V502,
Heaven Striker,
Diska of Braveman,
Frozen Shooter,
Slicer of Fanatic, and more!
Viridia
If the player's primary interests are boss rushes like Towards The Future and Respective Tomorrow,
Viridia is a good choice.
Red Ring and
Parasitic Gene "Flow" are coveted drops which only drop from the bosses at the end of Episode 1 and Episode 2.
L&K38 Combat with high hit attribute is a very potent HUnewearl weapon and highly sought after by other players.
Skyly
Skyly has access to many essential HUnewearl items and an increased rate of finding sword-type weapons, which is important in the early game and for finding Hit
Caliburs later. Items include
Daylight Scar,
Sealed J-Sword,
Zanba,
Red Ring, and
Lame d'Argent. Be warned that
Skyly is not always the ideal HUnewearl id, despite it having many items desired by the class. Players who find success with this id for HUnewearl likely have experience and strong middle to late game items at their disposal.
Material and Mag plans
Important Stats Only - Maxes important stats as early as possible. Recommended for leveling.
Min-Max - Maxes as many character specific stats as possible by level 200 using the minimum number of slot units. Recommended at level 200.
Min-Max (Allows Barrier Swap) - Maxes out ATP, ATA, and LCK with just a Mag and V101, allowing free usage of the barrier slot while maintaining max LCK.
Max Stats - Attempts to max all stats at level 200. Ignores any sort of equipment efficiency. Not recommended.

- ↑ This plan allows for
Clio usage at level 195
- ↑ This plan allows for Clio usage at level 184
- ↑ This plan allows for Clio usage at level 195 (level 200 without Red Ring) and allows usage of Barriers other than Red Ring without sacrificing maximum LCK, such as
Anti-Dark Ring for some
Megid immunity breakpoints or
Kasami Bracer,
Yata Mirror, or
Combat Gear for a minor additional ATP increase to improve certain niche damage breakpoints - most notably this improves reliability of
Dark Flow's special attack killing Mericarol in multiplayer with
Shifta Lv20
Note that the Max Stats plan isn't recommended here; it forces HUnewearl to use all four of her unit slots resulting in her being unable to use any powerful utility units.
Smartlink,
V502,
V801, and
Proof of Sword-Saint(s) have very useful effects in many situations. Status immunity Cure units offer minor quality of life against their respective statuses.
Heavenly/HP offers a niche breakpoint for optimized play. One Heavenly/HP can raise a level 200 HUnewearl with the maximum of 125
HP materials used (unaffected by the general 150 material limit shared by
Power Material,
Def Material,
Mind Material,
Evade Material, and
Luck Material) from 1558 HP to 1668 HP, thus improving
Dark Flow's special attack maximum HP threshold from 194 HP to 207 HP and allowing for use of one
Monomate from Berserk's minimum HP of 3 to survive minor damage like Hildelt's or Astark's 5 spawn-in damage while retaining access to Dark Flow's special attack.
Without V101
These plans below are those which use
Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou instead of V101. These are generally not recommended over using V101 paired with the freedom to swap Frames, ideally preferring an offensive Frame such as
Thirteen or
Sweetheart.
| Plan | Mag | Units | Barrier | Materials | |||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Power | Def | Mind | Evade | Luck | Unused | ||||
| Important Stats Only[1] | 5/92/103/0 | - | 115 | - | - | - | 35 | - | |
| Min-Max[2] | 5/92/103/0 | - | 109 | - | 6 | - | 35 | - | |
HUnewearl has a Max Stats plan without V101, but it would still require four units, meaning there is no advantage to a Max Stats build with Blue Odoshi Violet Nimaidou.
