FOnewearl/Guide: Difference between revisions

From Ephinea PSO Wiki
(→‎Other Plans: made this separate sections for "Melee leveling", "Level 200", and "Max Stats". copied in most of the info from FOnewm/Guide for melee leveling, adding in FOnewearl relevant info. "level 200" section was reformatted a little to move ep2 mags to their own entries and received the <ref> treatment (also renamed "All Around" to "General use" a la FOnewm/Guide). added a "Nuking only" plan that maxes MST+DFP with minimal units like FOnewm.)

Melee leveling
These plans are for players looking to work on hybrid game play with weapons like: rare, rare, es, or es (Demons, Hell) in areas of the game where technique damage is weak.
These plans are for players looking to work on hybrid game play with weapons like: rare, rare, es, or es (Demon's, Hell) in areas of the game where technique damage is weak.

This plan is less relevant for new players but becomes more useful many hours into Ultimate difficulty multiplayer gameplay if the player wishes to contribute more to the party than Shifta, Deband, Jellen, and Zalure in areas filled with Monsters of high elemental resistances - notably all areas of Episode 2 as well as all boss fights (excluding Saint Million/Shambertin/Kondrieu).

However, timely use of support techniques already provides an incredible benefit to a multiplayer party and is sufficient contribution from a new Force player to an Ultimate party.

Note that the Max Stats plan isn't recommended here; it forces FOnewearl to use all four of her unit slots, resulting in her being unable to use V501, V502, V801, etc.

FOnewearl.png

FOnewearl is a newman Force who boasts the highest MST and TP of all classes in the game, and the highest ATA of all the Forces. She has unparalleled power with the simple class of techniques. With her MST, she is a very strong spell caster and the strongest Resta.pngResta power which, along with her increased Resta and Anti.pngAnti range, makes her very effective in a supportive role. Due to her comparatively high ATA, she uses weapons with the Hell and Demon's specials more effectively than other Forces.

FOnewearl also has the lowest ATP of all classes in the game, and her extremely low ATP cap locks her out of many useful weapons, such as Sword icon.pngExcalibur and Sword icon.pngES J-Cutter / Sword icon.pngES Slicer. She is also unable to use the vast majority of weapons effectively, making it difficult for her to contribute where techniques are not viable, especially in Episode 2.

In practice, FOnewearl is a weaker and more restrictive version of FOnewm, as her perks do not significantly give her any edge over him as FOnewm's stronger Gi- and Ra-series techniques are used much more commonly, and FOmar's Gi-series boost also gives him stronger Gifoie.pngGifoie than FOnewearl.

Pros and cons

Pros

 • Highest Force ATA - With 186 ATA, FOnewearl is able to use special weapons more effectively than other forces, and is also granted access to Demon's Gun icon.pngES Mechgun
 • Strongest Resta - FOnewearl is arguably better than FOmarl at support, as her high Resta.pngResta range and up to 1,070 HP healing makes her more effective at support when necessary
 • Extremely powerful solo - As FOnewearl is a Force, she is very powerful when alone in Episode 1 and 4.

Cons

 • Lowest ATP in the game - With only 583 ATP, FOnewearl is unable to do respectable physical damage outside of Sword icon.pngVivienne, and is locked out of important weapons such as Sword icon.pngES Slicer and Sword icon.pngExcalibur
 • More restrictive variant of FOnewm - Other than her increased Resta potency, FOnewearl plays like a weaker FOnewm with fewer options
 • Lowest HP in the game - With a soft cap of 1,398 HP, FOnewearl does not have the HP to get hit by a Dark Bringer's charged shot even once without dying

Section ID choice

Note that the section ID choices below are merely suggestions, and are not required choices for playing FOnewearl. All IDs have tangible benefits, leaving ID selection up to player preference. Below are a few recommended IDs for FOnewearl depending on what type of item coverage is preferred.

Finding items that FOnewearl hunts well

Bluefull icon.pngBluefull

This section id will be a strong choice for players while they spend time leveling in Very Hard. While leveling, you'll want to run quests that allow you to hunt for the rare enemy, Del Rappy, for a chance to drop Frame icon.pngIgnition Cloak. You can hunt for Unit icon.pngHeavenly/Arms and Tool icon.pngPhoton Crystal in Very Hard, which can be traded to other players to help acquire items for FOnewearl.

Once you reach Ultimate on Bluefull, you can hunt for Unit icon.pngLimiter and then unseal it yourself to Unit icon.pngAdept, and also chase high value items like: Cane icon.pngPyscho Wand, Gun icon.pngHeaven Punisher, and Sword icon.pngNei's Claw. Though Bluefull boasts one of the best Pyscho Wand hunts in the game by rate, new players may find it easier to hunt for it themselves through Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum in caves.

Redria icon.pngRedria

This is the most popular ID to host Episode 4 desert quests while hunting for Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker and Sword icon.pngDiska of Braveman.

Redria also has good Ruins drops, finding both Shield icon.pngRed Ring and Sword icon.pngDiska of Braveman.

Purplenum icon.pngPurplenum

You can hunt for Cane icon.pngPyscho Wand in Caves, and host popular hunts for other items in all episodes of the game for items like Gun icon.pngM&A60 Vise, which can be traded to other players for photon drops to help trade for FOnewearl items.

Yellowboze icon.pngYellowboze

While leveling in Very Hard, you'll want to run quests that allow you to hunt for the rare enemy, Del Rappy, for a chance to drop Frame icon.pngIgnition Cloak. When you reach Ultimate, you'll have access to some of the best hunts in the game including: Sword icon.pngGalatine, Sword icon.pngExcalibur, Unit icon.pngV101, Sword icon.pngDaylight Scar (rare boss), Gun icon.pngFrozen Shooter, and many other items that have modest value trading with other players.

Greenill icon.pngGreenill

Forces are masters of Episode 4, and Greenill has a very powerful Episode 4 with items such as Unit icon.pngV101, Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker, and Gun icon.pngCannon Rouge. Greenill has decent Ruins drops as well, finding both Shield icon.pngRed Ring and Sword icon.pngMonkey King Bar.

Finding items for FOnewearl

Pinkal icon.pngPinkal

If you are looking to hunt items with value for trading, this is rarely the best section id for this character. If you do not intend to trade with other players on Ephinea, Pinkal will be a good choice because it finds many core Force items such as: Cane icon.pngFire Scepter: Agni, Cane icon.pngIce Staff: Dagon, and Cane icon.pngStorm Wand: Indra. It also has boosted rates to all amplifier hunts. Once reaching Ultimate, Pinkal offers useful Force items such as Sword icon.pngSlicer of Fanatic, Unit icon.pngV801, Unit icon.pngLimiter, Cane icon.pngGuardianna, Sword icon.pngLame d'Argent, and Sword icon.pngDiska of Braveman.

General good ID

Whitill icon.pngWhitill

Whitill is a powerful ID that gets many coveted and valued items in almost every area in the game. Whitill is the most unrestrictive ID, giving players the freedom to play any content and still have the chance of scoring something big, in contrast to more restrictive IDs such as Bluefull icon.pngBluefull, which focus players into certain areas. Whitill finds many good items such as Unit icon.pngV502, Gun icon.pngHeaven Striker, Sword icon.pngDiska of Braveman, Gun icon.pngFrozen Shooter, Sword icon.pngSlicer of Fanatic, and more!

Melee leveling

These plans are for players looking to work on hybrid game play with weapons like: Sword icon.pngSlicer of Fanatic, Gun icon.pngBringer's Rifle, Gun icon.pngES Mechgun, or Cane icon.pngES Cards (Demon's, Hell) in areas of the game where technique damage is weak.

This plan is less relevant for new players but becomes more useful many hours into Ultimate difficulty multiplayer gameplay if the player wishes to contribute more to the party than Shifta.pngShifta, Deband.pngDeband, Jellen.pngJellen, and Zalure.pngZalure in areas filled with Monsters of high elemental resistances - notably all areas of Episode 2 as well as all boss fights (excluding Saint Million/Shambertin/Kondrieu).

However, timely use of support techniques already provides an incredible benefit to a multiplayer party and is sufficient contribution from a new Force player to an Ultimate party.

Level 200

Min-Max - Maxes as many character specific stats as possible by level 200 using the minimum number of slot units. Recommended at level 200.

Technique Merges
(especially Gi and Ra)
- - 148 - - 2[7]
 1. 1.0 1.1 The general use mag provides maximum ATA and 580 ATP - enough for all relevant ATP requirement weapons (Sword icon.pngSlicer of Fanatic, Sword icon.pngTyrell's Parasol, and Sword icon.pngVivienne) - along with enough MST to reach max with most of the relevant Technique-boosting weapons except for Cane icon.pngPsycho Wand. FOnewearl cannot max MST at all times without sacrificing weaponry or accuracy in some way
 2. 2.0 2.1 The general use mag can still be used effectively in Episode 2 by sacrificing Unit icon.pngV801's casting speed increase for Unit icon.pngV502's boost to Hell special attacks
 3. 3.0 3.1 The Episode 2 mag makes up for the lost ATA and ATP from swapping Unit icon.pngAdept for Unit icon.pngV502's Hell special attack boosts, at the negligible cost of reduced technique damage output from lower MST while fighting monsters too resistant for effective technique combat
 4. FOnewearl still maxes MST with Cane icon.pngMagical Piece for optimal Gifoie.pngGifoie effectiveness with only 148 Tool icon.pngMind Materials, so the two remaining materials might be used towards Tool icon.pngDef Materials for a minor increase to DFP-based block or knockdown breakpoints instead
 5. The nuking only build disregards all ATP, ATA, and weapon-based gameplay in order to maximize MST and DFP with maximum open unit slots
 6. MST and DFP can be maxed at level 200 with 56+/x/x/125+ while 64/0/0/136 maxes both at level 196. Be aware that high DEF mags can be difficult or slow to raise, and high investment for minor benefits such as this are typically unnecessary for the vast majority of players. The general use mag is most recommended
 7. Two unused mats can be used on Tool icon.pngMind Materials, Tool icon.pngDef Materials, or elsewhere. The nuking-only mag maxes both MST and DFP regardless

Max Stats

Max Stats - Attempts to max all stats at level 200. Ignores any sort of equipment efficiency. Not recommended.

Plan Mag Units Shield Materials
Power Def Mind Evade Luck Unused
Max Stats 5/18/16/161 Unit icon.pngV101, Unit icon.pngAdept, Unit icon.pngAdept, Unit icon.pngCenturion/Ability Shield icon.pngRed Ring - - 82 42 13 13

Note that the Max Stats plan is not recommended here; it forces FOnewearl to use all four of her unit slots for stats, resulting in her being unable to use Unit icon.pngSmartlink, Unit icon.pngV801, Unit icon.pngV501/Unit icon.pngV502, or any other utility units.
